📢 Perdaman Awards $90 Million UF-80 Supply Contract to Hexion Australia Perdaman is proud to announce a new partnership with Hexion Australia Pty Ltd, awarding an A$90 million contract for the local production of UF-80, a key coating material used in the manufacture of urea granules for Project Ceres. This milestone marks a major step forward for Western Australia’s downstream manufacturing sector. Traditionally produced overseas, UF-80 will now be fully manufactured in Australia using local materials. This will strengthen regional supply chains, and support skilled jobs in the South West. Based in Dardanup, Hexion Australia is a long-established manufacturer known for its specialty chemicals supporting industries across Australia. Through this collaboration, Hexion Inc. will supply 16,000 tonnes of UF-80 per year, further enhancing its regional operations and contribution to WA’s industrial growth. At Perdaman, we’re proud to build partnerships that create long-term value, promote local expertise, and strengthen Australia’s manufacturing future. Another milestone has been achieved for Project Ceres with the successful shipment of the Tallest Process Assembly Rack (PAR) from the L&T yard in Kattupalli, Chennai. Belonging to the Urea Synthesis section, this towering module stands 42.2 metres tall, weighs nearly 1,000 tons, and integrates 14 mechanical equipment units along with an extensive network of high-pressure piping. This impressive shipment was part of Voyage 8, which carried three modules in total. The vessel departed from Kattupalli and has safely arrived at Dampier Port, marking another step forward in the delivery of world-class engineering to Australia’s largest urea project. To date, 39 out of 110 modules have been dispatched from L&T’s Kattupalli yard, with the remaining 71 modules under construction and scheduled for progressive delivery in the coming months. The scale and precision of these shipments highlight the strength of global collaboration and the expertise driving this landmark development. Once complete, Project Ceres will establish Australia’s first world-scale urea production facility, reducing reliance on imports, strengthening food security, and supporting regional economic growth. Marking Another Milestone for Project Ceres 🚢 During his recent visit to India, our Chairman Vikas Rambal, led the flag-off ceremony for the sixth batch of modules being shipped from the Kattupalli Yard in Chennai to project site Karratha. A proud moment for Perdaman as leadership and dedication continue to fuel every milestone on this transformative journey of Project Ceres. This shipment included four key modules, two from the Power Generation area and two from the Urea section, bringing the total dispatched to 31 out of 110. With Voyage 6 now successfully docked in Karratha and modules installed on-site, we continue to make steady progress toward completing the construction of our landmark project. As one of the world's largest urea and ammonia plant, Project Ceres is set to strengthen Australia's domestic fertiliser production and global sustainability goals.
