‘The Real Deal’ is one of MYOB’s core values and is all about honesty, courage and authenticity. It’s about owning your mistakes and celebrating your wins along the way. In the spirit of celebrating wins, I’m thrilled to share that I won ‘The Real Deal’ Rising Star, Women of MYOB award for 2025 💜
What made this recognition so meaningful was hearing that my work has helped turn complexity into clarity and momentum across MYOB, strengthened decision-making and governance, and lifted our security culture at scale. As one nominator said, I am ‘consistently invited by seniors to act, guide and deliver above my level of seniority.’ It’s gratifying to see that mentoring, contributing to the broader security and tech community, and driving engagement and culture internally through security awareness campaigns and events are making a tangible difference.
There were so many brilliant women nominated across the three categories: Leader of the Year, Rising Star and AI Innovator. It’s a privilege to share this year’s recognition with Lauren Edwards (Leader of the Year) and Sarah Abell (AI Innovator), as well as our Community Impact winner, Shree Jaiswal, who received the most nominations 🌟
A big thank you to those who nominated me. Your support does not go unnoticed. Thank you to the Reliability and Security team and leadership, Peter Wolski, Oliver Owens, Victoria Schiffer, Sirisha Joel, Andrew Cosgriff, Paula Stupka, Mark J., the broader Technology function and specifically our CTO Simon Noonan for sharing his own reflections on equality and equity, collective leadership, and how we all need to focus on inclusion actively and building an environment where everyone can succeed.
Lastly, a big shoutout to the Women of MYOB working group, Sally Wilson, Cat Hayes, Luisa Sciacca (Carlei), Lisa Sheales and Ashleigh Lyas for championing women, creating space, and for your consistent contributions to building such a strong community and culture.
