Our Annual Report is here! We are proud to share the progress and impact that Link Wentworth made in the 2024-25 year. This year, with 6,214 homes, we have provided safe, secure, and affordable housing for nearly 10,000 residents and supported 422 people through our homelessness services. Beyond housing, we have created opportunities for our customers to connect, have a voice, and build brighter futures. It was a year of celebration with our 40-year anniversary, and a year of growth! With the start of the Federal Government’s Housing Australia Future Fund, Link Wentworth was awarded funding for eight developments in Sydney that will deliver 424 brand-new homes. In another milestone, as part of the Stockland Consortium, which includes Link Wentworth, City West Housing and Birribee Housing, we were confirmed as the partners for the urban renewal project at Waterloo South. This would not have been achieved without the support of our residents, partners, Board and staff—thank you to everyone who made this year possible! 🎉 A Place to Call Home in Cammeray! 🏡 Yesterday, we officially opened our brand-new social housing development in Cammeray, designed to create safe, secure, and affordable homes for people at risk of homelessness and those on the social housing waitlist. This project, delivered in partnership with North Sydney Council and supported by the NSW Government under Round One of the Australian Government’s Housing Australia Future Fund (HAFF), features 12 thoughtfully designed apartments, including three accessible units for people with disability. The ribbon was cut by new resident Julie and Senator the Hon Jenny McAllister, Minister for the National Disability Insurance Scheme, alongside North Sydney Mayor Zoë Baker and Link Wentworth CEO Andrew McAnulty. This development is more than bricks and mortar – it’s about creating community. Residents like Julie have already experienced life-changing support and a sense of belonging. 📸 Check out the highlights from yesterday’s ribbon-cutting ceremony! 👉 Learn more about the project: linkwentworth.org.au/news

Yesterday we celebrated International Men’s Day with residents, staff and local men’s service providers - sharing a BBQ and cake in the park at Penrith CBD! This day is about raising awareness for men’s well-being and encouraging men to speak out about their physical and mental health. Thank you to our resident and men’s health advocate Paul, who shared his story and highlighted the importance of men talking about mental health and asking for help. And thank you to Todd Carney (GAICD) for coming along to share the morning and join in the discussion! Check out our latest Community Connect newsletter to read Paul’s article on why International Men’s Day is important - https://lnkd.in/g28WTPw3 This International Men's Day we celebrate men and boys everywhere: Thank you for showing up and making a positive impact in your families, communities and the world! #InternationalMensDay

Link Wentworth staff and residents were proud guests at the Link-Up NSW Aboriginal Corporation 45th Anniversary Gala Dinner at Penrith’s Western Sydney Convention Centre this past Saturday night. We have seen first hand the crucial work Link-Up does across communities, reuniting members of the Stolen Generations. Members of our Reconciliation Working Group and Advisory Group said it was a privilege to be there with two special Link Wentworth resident guests. Key speakers included Federal Minister for Indigenous Australians Senator Malarndirri McCarthy and Former Prime Minister Dr Kevin Rudd AC, with star performances from a lineup of talented artists including Christina Anu and Djirrbity Dance Group. Congratulations to the Link-Up NSW Team for delivering a powerful and important event honouring the resilience of the Stolen Generations and Communities. #LinkUpNSW #CommunityHousing

Our team had a ball at the annual Granny Smith Festival on Saturday 18 October. Link Wentworth is proud to manage over 1,700 homes in the Ryde LGA and to be a silver sponsor of the event for the seventh year running. As part of our stall, we asked the Ryde community to tell us what home means to them and we were so touched to get some beautiful answers in a variety of different languages. Love, warmth, happiness, family, safety, belonging and good health, to name just a few. Link Wentworth TAG members, our staff and their families also had the privilege of walking in the famous Granny Smith Festival Parade behind a beautiful bespoke sign handmade by our resident Mary. Thank you for having us City of Ryde! We're already excited for next year. #GrannySmithFestival #RydeCommunity #CommunityHousing

Our Chief Customer Officer Margaret Maljkovic spoke to The Western Weekender to raise awareness of Anti-Poverty Week. “I define poverty as people who are disadvantaged in our economic system,” she told the publication. “They may not have had the same opportunities for employment and education, or they may have had negative experiences throughout their life that caused a breakdown. Some people are born into poverty and disadvantage, and some people find themselves there due to trauma, poor mental health, or ill health that renders them unable to obtain or maintain employment. "[Anti-poverty] is a really important topic to highlight, especially right here, right now. We do have a cost-of-living crisis and a housing crisis, so people need support now more than ever.” Read the full article: https://lnkd.in/en3bkVfF #AntiPovertyWeek

As so well expressed by our peak Australian Community Housing, the Housing Australia Future Fund (HAFF) has already delivered excellent outcomes across the country. Link Wentworth is proud to be one of many community housing providers who has been approved to build much-needed social and affordable homes under the HAFF, with eight projects currently in the pipeline. #CommunityHousing #AustralianCommunityHousing #HAFF
The Housing Australia Future Fund (HAFF) is starting to deliver real results for Australians, and the community housing sector is proud to be playing a leading role in making it happen. So far, the Fund has supported: ☑️ 567 homes completed ☑️ 9,388 under construction ☑️ 8,695 in planning These milestones mark genuine progress and proof of what’s possible when long-term investment meets community-led delivery. At Australian Community Housing (ACH), we represent more than 150 not-for-profit providers who together manage over 130,000 homes across the country and are on track to deliver thousands more through HAFF. As Round 3 moves forward, we’ll continue working closely with government to ensure the Fund delivers the best possible outcomes for tenants and communities, embedding affordability, community benefit and tenant wellbeing at the heart of every project.
