🌏 Strengthening Regional Energy Partnerships As part of Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade)’s Southeast Asia Energy Mission to Australia, Energy Exemplar was proud to host a Welcome Breakfast Forum in Melbourne on Monday, 27 October 2025, bringing together energy leaders from the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand and Australia to explore opportunities for collaboration in the region’s clean energy transition. Hosted by Dante Recalde, Jacqueline Owen, and Tom Prestney, with invaluable support from Austrade’s Sheila Trance and Bernice V., the forum welcomed delegates from across Southeast Asia’s energy landscape, including the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) Philippines, and leading private-sector organisations. The discussion focused on how energy simulation software and data-driven modelling tools like PLEXOS® are being used to enhance energy planning and reliability in both Australia and the Philippines. Delegates also heard from the Australian Energy Regulator (AER), represented by Jarrod Ball, on Australia’s evolving energy governance, consumer protections, and regulatory frameworks supporting the clean energy transition. The breakfast forum formed part of a week-long program featuring the All-Energy Australia tradeshow and site visits to Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) — showcasing Australia’s leadership in renewable integration, decentralised markets, and real-time energy settlement. 🤝 We thank Austrade and all mission delegates for contributing to a successful dialogue and for building enduring connections between Australia and the region’s energy communities. #EnergyExemplar #PLEXOS #Austrade #EnergyTransition #SoutheastAsia #CleanEnergy #Collaboration #Innovation #EnergyModelling #Renewables
