Inspired by our past, building the future.
About us
At Centina, we don’t just build structures, we’re building the future. Our name is inspired by the heritage of our founders and the Italian word “centina”, referring to the timber framework used in ancient Roman architecture. This connection to the past mirrors our approach to every building we construct - a reflection of the meticulous and analytical nature of Roman engineering. Since 2007, we have been building commercial, industrial, and residential developments, inspired by our core values of trust, quality, honesty and craft. We are passionate about positively impacting communities and showcasing the potential of the construction industry. We believe every project requires strong support and careful consideration, from start to finish. That’s why we specialise in early procurement methods, including managing contractor, ECI and design & construct, providing you with the certainty you need to make informed decisions and unlock your project’s full potential, from day one. We partner with our clients to ensure risks and costs are managed, safety is prioritised, a high standard of quality is achieved, and your vision is delivered. We’re inspired by our past, to positively impact the future.

October is Mental Health Month and at Centina we’re committed to supporting the wellbeing of our people and our wider industry. Last week our team took part in a Mental Health Awareness session with Stuart, a Crisis Supporter from Lifeline Australia. Stuart shared valuable insights into: - Looking after your own mental health and wellbeing - Recognising when someone else might be struggling - The importance of reaching out for help - How Lifeline Adelaide is supporting our community every day It was a powerful reminder that mental health matters - and that taking the time to check in on yourself and others can make a real difference. Thank you to Stuart, Adriana and Uniting Communities for joining us, and to our team for showing up, listening, and supporting each other. And of course, a special mention to Coco, our Wellbeing Officer, who made sure everyone felt calm and cared for throughout the session. 🐾

That’s why Centina's proud to have been selected, in partnership with two of our strong collaborators, developer Kolabb and fund manager ICAM, to deliver Anderson Lane at Renewal SA’s Southwark Grounds. Together we’re developing a space designed for living well - featuring at least 23 two-to-four-bedroom townhomes with tree-lined laneways, rooftop terraces, and a mix of affordable and premium homes. Architecturally designed by Studio Nine Architects, Anderson Lane will balance thoughtful density with generous green space, creating a place with a little bit of everything. There’s nothing like the thrill of a fresh pour. We've poured over 400 cubic metres of concrete this past week, forming the structural slab for the new Detmold Group global headquarters in Regency Park. Following a competitive tender, Centina were appointed to deliver this 5,100 m², three-storey, steel-framed complex - an A-grade office space designed with green features for energy efficiency, wellbeing and comfort. The pour marks a key milestone for the project and reflects the shared commitment to quality, innovation and sustainability that defines our partnership with the Detmold family. A huge thank you to JDM Concreting for their expertise and hard work in helping us reach this milestone. Together, we’re building more than a headquarters - we’re creating a space that supports community and connection for years to come.

Our team joined together last week for an off-site session led by Centina’s General Manager, Brad Weaver, to celebrate an incredible 12 months and look ahead to the future. We acknowledged major project wins, marked progress towards ISO accreditation, reviewed our subcontractor and supplier partnerships to ensure we continue working with the best in the industry, and heard an update on actions from our recent Culture Survey, presented by Centina’s Financial Controller, Lauren. We also recognised individual achievements, congratulating Tyler on 7 years of service, and honouring Matt with the Centina Unsung Hero Award for his unwavering commitment to Centina’s values of trust, honesty, quality, and craft. The session concluded with inspiring presentations from the Chair of our Advisory Board, and Managing Director, outlining Centina’s ambitious and bold strategic direction for the next five years. A huge thank-you to everyone who contributed to Centina's achievements in the past year - we can’t wait to build on this momentum.
