𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 The Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre is opening doors for people who’ve faced barriers to work - building skills, careers, and community impact that will last well beyond the build. As Geelong keeps growing we’re here to continue to support the region and invest in it's next generation. Through the GEESP program, we’ve created 43 apprenticeships and delivered over 37, 000 hours of on-the-job training in carpentry, plumbing and electrical trades – with more to come before completion in 2026. Head of Operation Andrew Morgan said “the GEESP program is reshaping how we think about opportunity and inclusion in construction. We’ve seen female participation rise to 18.4% compared to the 1% industry average and helped shift site culture.” Co-designed by Development Victoria, the Give Where You Live Foundation GROW initiative and gforce employment + recruitment and being delivered by Built as head contractor, GEESP is a pioneering collaboration embedding social procurement into the framework of a major infrastructure project. At Built, when a work mate needs support, the entire team rally together hard. Partnering with JAC MOTORS Australia, our NSW teams are raising funds for The Fragile X Association of Australia Inc to support their Construction Worker, whose two sons have Fragile X Syndrome. Fragile X Syndrome is the most common inherited cause of intellectual disability and autism and includes a wide range of intellectual, behavioural symptoms and physical symptoms. Launching the raffle of a JAC Oasis T9 Ute, Tim Polorotoff, Project Manager, Built, said “Setting up an initiative like this is personal, I’m very proud of it. I’m excited for everyone to get behind this great cause for one of our own”. Find out more about our fundraising efforts here: https://lnkd.in/gzc8afUi

With more than 580 workers inducted on site so far – including 200 locals – Stage 3 of the Ballarat Base Hospital Redevelopment is reaching new heights. Four cranes now tower over Ballarat’s skyline, a clear sign of the project’s momentum. Three are proudly named after Grampians Health staff who’ve dedicated their careers to caring for the community – a fitting reminder that this project is about people as much as it is about progress. The fourth crane carries a special ‘Thank you’ message to the Ballarat community for their continued support as we move through the final stage of the hospital redevelopment. 🚧✨ More than a hospital, this project is an investment in the future health of the Ballarat and Grampians community. 🏥 Full story, including the ministerial visit here: https://lnkd.in/ge3PJ6Pn Victorian Health Building Authority Grampians Health Victorian Department of Health Shaun Burke Matt Whittle Charlie Zwar #ballaratbasehospitalredevelopment #healthinfrastructure #built

This RAP builds on our commitments through stronger partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples - creating opportunities, growing procurement partnerships with Indigenous-led businesses, and embedding truth-telling and cultural learning across our workplaces and projects. Featuring a striking artwork by Wagiman artist Nathan Patterson, it reflects a shared journey grounded in respect, genuine collaboration, and positive impact that lasts long after construction is complete. 🖤💛❤️ ➡️ See our commitment in action: https://lnkd.in/gpitAxRV Ed Chambers Mary Lemonis Joe Karten Lauren Grinter Kieran Sarri Taylor Sayers Lindsay Gilbee #Built #Reconciliation #InnovateRAP #SocialImpact #FirstNations

𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝘆𝗮𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝘆𝘂𝗹 Geelong’s waterfront just got a major glow up! ✨ A huge 88-metre mural by internationally acclaimed artist (and locally born) Rone now celebrates the faces and stories that make the city shine. Featuring locals young and old, including seven proud Wadawurrung family members, the mural captures the heart of the community. It’s another big milestone for Nyaal Banyul- creating jobs, supporting local business and cementing Geelong’s place as a hub for culture and connection. 🙌 The development is funded by the Australian and Victorian Governments and City of Greater Geelong through the Geelong City Deal and is being delivered by Development Victoria with Plenary Conventions consortium comprising Plenary Group as sponsor, Built as builder and Woods Bagot as architect. The centre will be operated by the Victorian Convention and Event Trust (VCET). ➡️ Read more about the faces and stories that inspired the mural: https://lnkd.in/gBYu2zkD Plenary Group Built. 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘆 𝗥𝗼𝘄𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 Still buzzing after an incredible night at the NAWIC SA Awards where our very own Mandy Rowe took home the Project Achievement Award! 🎉 As Project Director – Stakeholder Manager (Health), Mandy led the Lyell McEwin Hospital 48-Bed Expansion Project delivering a complex vertical build above an active hospital. Her clever idea to encapsulate the roof with scaffolding kept the project watertight and on track- rain, hail or shine. ☀️🌧️ Now applying that same expertise to the new Mount Barker Hospital, Mandy continues to champion an innovative approach across our health infrastructure projects 🏥 #NAWICawards #adelaide #southaustralia #womeninconstruction #builttolead #healthinfrastructure #builtworthy #newways #hospital
