It might start with just a few wind turbines and rooftop solar panels, but soon you’ll be placing biomass plants deep in the forest—and basking in the warm glow of a perfectly powered paradise.

What we love: Those light-bulb moments when everything clicks. For example, you might realize that shifting your solar farm just one tile over to a grassland square will boost its output—and that’ll be enough to make the windows of your adorable little homes blaze to life.

Quick tip: The book icon at the bottom of the screen will tell you which terrain types will give an adjacent biomass plant a boost. Hills and grasslands won’t add extra juice, but converting them to farmlands offers an energy bonus.

Meet the creator: Indie developer Tepes Ovidiu hails from Transylvania, and he shares part of his name with the Romanian prince who loosely inspired Count Dracula. He toiled over puzzle balance in Eco Power Towns—in his earliest prototypes, some levels were so tough even he couldn’t beat them!
