  • Need a little more flexibility

    Loving it but frustrated

    The app is great and very convenient. I love how you can change your session but if you are booking online, you should be able to change your cinema and even the day, especially if the change is done on the same day. Mistakes can happen when you have cinemas saved. Asking for a refund is totally different. Just want the ability to change to the correct time, day or cinema if a mistake is made, instead of having to rebook the correct session and then send in a request for a refund.

    Hi there, thanks for the feedback. You can currently swap your booking to another session time or film and change your seats after you have booked by following the links on the order confirmation. We would love to bring swaps between cinemas in the future, look out for this in an app update.

  • Updated— App *No Longer* crashes when trying to check in

    updated feedback— Developers have responded quickly and fixed the bug that was causing the app to crash when attempting to load the pre-purchased movie tickets. Well done on fast fix ! original feedback— App crashes when trying to check in.🙁 Tickets were successfully purchased via the app, but when I arrived at cinema, the app opens ok, but when i try to view the purchased ticket (or check in), the app crashes and shuts down completely. this crash happens every time I reopen the app and try to view the purchased tickets. I am a customer who has Live Activities disabled (for privacy reasons); I presume the DEVs have not checked the stability of the app when Live Activities is disabled. luck the ticket operator was able to pull up my purchase and print paper tickets 😀

  • Payment won’t work

    The app won’t let you pay using credit card or PayPal despite having sections to pay using them. Only use of the app is to organise tickets for the movie and if it doesn’t work then what’s the point. I’m currently using the most up-to-date version, tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and made sure I am using the current iPhone software using an iPhone 12. Tried contacting the company, but they weren’t any help, they closed the case before it was resolved then tried asking how they did. Given they didn’t fix anything and I still have the same issue, what to you think? Don’t bother contacting the company if there’s an issue, they won’t do anything other than telling you to update your software and try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

    The app is great to browse movie options, book, buy food and drinks when in the GC lounge, etc. but it’s 2025 and we still have to open the app and have the brightness blind us just to access our cinebuzz card 😭😭 when can we expect an “Add to Apple Wallet” option for the membership barcode? So much easier to open apple wallet with a double click at the POS when ordering tickets in person. I’d still be using the old keychain barcode card if mine hadn’t faded past usability

  • Now showing isn’t really now showing!

    Under the now showing tab with the correct cinema selected, movies that aren’t actually showing right now are still displayed. For example you can select a movie from the now showing tab and have no session times displayed for a date as far forward as it will let you select. So after looking at dates for a 2 week period and having no session times listed it’s clear that the movie is actually not "now showing”!!!

    The now showing list on the homepage shows all films showing at all locations. If you have a cinema selected at the top, and click 'BOOK NOW' that will show the films showing at that location only. To find where a specific film is showing, you can click on the movie poster from the homepage. Once you are on the movie page under 'Times & Tickets' click 'Change' To see all cinemas which are showing the film. Please contactus@eventcinemas.com.au if this is not how your app is displaying, and we can look into this for you.

  • Liv activities is a game changer

    I've been using the Event Cinemas app for a long time now, and it's generally been fantastic. Recently, it has become outstanding with the live activities notifications. These notifications sit on my screen, showing me what time the movie starts and allowing me to quickly check when the movie finishes. It's outstanding!
