1Blocker lets you block obtrusive ads, sneaky trackers, and annoying elements on sites. With 1Blocker, you’re safe online and nothing will distract you from enjoying sites. 1Blocker is very easy to use — just flip a couple of switches to start blocking ads and trackers. The app will automatically receive cloud updates to the built-in filters silently, so you don’t need to do anything. It’s as simple as setting and forgetting. 1Blocker is a fully native app designed to extend Safari naturally. It’s lightweight and doesn’t drain your battery by taking up your device’s resources. The blocking itself is super fast because Safari does it itself. We only provide filters to Safari and don’t modify webpages in any way. This vastly improves efficiency because Safari knows in advance what should be blocked. So, with 1Blocker, sites load on average 2-5x faster. It’s important to note that not all ads can be blocked though. Some sites use techniques that make it impossible for us to block their ads using currently available features for Safari content blockers. SECURE BY DESIGN 1Blocker is secure and private. It doesn’t have access to webpages and doesn’t track you in any way. We believe that privacy is not for sale. That's why we don't have an "Acceptable Ads" program. Most privacy centered content blocker

The way this integrates with Safari, you don't have to trust 1Blocker with all the data you see in the browser (which is a terrible idea). Together with Safari, 1Blocker is the most privacy centered content blocker out there. The pricing is super reasonable and the UI is sublime. I recommend this over any other content blocker and I've used most of the top 10. Well done folks.

Together with Safari, 1Blocker is the most privacy centered content blocker out there. The pricing is super reasonable and the UI is sublime. I recommend this over any other content blocker and I've used most of the top 10. Well done folks.

I've been using this extension for at least the last couple of years. It's been unobtrusive and generally a 'nice to have' with the odd occasion where it would cause a page to not behave as expected, but was easily turned off temporarily. The newest update now requires you to pay a premium subscription for any more than one category (e.g. you can block ads or you can block trackers, but unless you pay the subscription you can't do both). This isn't a subscription for new features that weren't available before, this is a subscription for features that were included in the previous version. This isn't a 'need to have' as there are a number of other services out there that offer the same features, some of which are still completely free. So, while the extension does what it says, it has moved to a subscription model with no added benefit to the user. Because of this, I'll now be uninstalling and looking elsewhere.

This is definitely not the way the app should work for you.We strived to avoid any negative impact on the existing customers, and the new app still offers the same conditions for you. You should have access to multiple blocking categories, custom rules, iCloud Sync, etc. at no extra cost. The rules are still updated with every 1Blocker release to the App Store, just like it was before.The app is supposed to sync your previous purchase automatically. However, if it doesn't let you turn on multiple categories, please, reinstall it and use the Restore Purchase button in the Settings > Premium section.If you still have any questions, please, let us know via any of the feedback buttons available in the app or our email (support@1blocker.com).We will meet you there and guide you through them!

constantly getting the upgrade to the new app alerts in the app (to get the new family sharing features, which i never wanted) and also see the allert the safari plug in. I have clicked the link, over and over, and gone through the upgrade process via mac app store and within safari.Freaking useless app, continues to bug me.. Only option. un install

Hello drmatto,Thank you for sharing this situation with us!It seems that you have both the old and the new versions of the app installed.I will be happy to explain the difference between the two versions of the app. It was the only way to add native Family Sharing and Universal Purchase support. These features are available only if both iOS and macOS apps have the same ID and are released under the same App Store page. The old Mac app was released before Apple introduced Universal Purchase, so we had to link the Mac app to the iOS app by releasing them as a single item.The new app has now a square icon (current version 3.15.1), and if it works as expected on your Mac, please, feel free to delete the old Mac app with the round icon (current version 3.14.2) as it will become obsolete in the future.An important side-note, you don't have to pay anything extra. The new Mac app will recognize your current purchase status automatically, so the update is free for you. However, if there are any issues, for instance, the features you paid for are not available, please, try the Restore Purchase button available on the Premium screen.
