While the app’s intuitive layout makes content surfing quick and easy, you may be interested in these tricks that will help you discover more, grow your content library and make the best out your Shahid experience.
Search: Filter content by actor names
Want to watch something that features your favourite actor? Or maybe you can’t remember the title of a must-see series but know a cast member’s name. Shahid’s got you: tap the search bar and type in the actor of your choice and all content related to them will surface.
Language options: Look out for subtitles and dubbing badges
If a series or film has dubbing or subtitles, you’ll see it marked with a badge on the top-right corner of its image. For example: Khamsa Wa Nos has an EN subtitles badge and Ibnat Al Safeer has a dubbed badge.
My List: Access saved shows
See a title you like and want to add it to your watch list? Tap the + icon next to a series or film and it will save in My List. To access your selected films and series, tap into your Profile on the app’s home screen and head to My List to see all your favourited titles in one place.

You’ve just finished a fantastic series or film, now what? Check out the Related tab on the title’s landing page to browse similar titles that could be your next great watch.
Notifications: Discover what’s coming soon
Get your pulse on the latest and greatest content in Shahid by tapping Profile > Notifications. Here you’ll see a news feed featuring updates on what’s coming soon to the app – add the titles that catch your eye to My List so you can get stuck in as soon as they’re released.
Get a first glimpse with Shorts
On the Shorts tab, get quick clips of Shahid’s shows, including trending moments and celebrity snippets, without the need to watch the full episode or movie. It’s a great way to identify the shows you want to stream in full, discover new titles and enjoy behind-the-scenes moments.
